Terms and Conditions - Steady Wheels Driving School

Welcome to Steady Wheels Driving School. By using our services, booking lessons, or accessing our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

Service Description:

Steady Wheels Driving School provides professional driving instruction services including beginner lessons, G2 and G road test preparation, defensive driving courses, and related educational services in Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area. All instruction is provided by Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) certified instructors.

Booking and Scheduling:

Lessons must be booked in advance through our website, phone, or email. We require at least 24 hours notice for lesson cancellations. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full lesson fee. No-shows will forfeit the entire lesson payment without refund or rescheduling options.

Payment Terms:

Payment is required at the time of booking or before the lesson begins. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and e-transfer. Package deals must be paid in full before the first lesson. All prices are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes.

Student Requirements:

Students must possess a valid Ontario learner's permit (G1) or driver's license as appropriate for the lesson type. Students must be at least 16 years of age. Those under 18 require parental consent and guardian signature on all agreements.

Students must disclose any medical conditions, medications, or physical limitations that may affect their ability to drive safely. Students under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving ability will be refused service without refund.

Vehicle and Equipment:

We provide dual-control vehicles for instruction purposes. Students may use their own vehicle for lessons, but the vehicle must be properly licensed, insured, and in safe operating condition. We reserve the right to refuse use of any vehicle deemed unsafe.

Students are responsible for any damage to our vehicle caused by negligence or reckless behavior. Normal wear and tear during instruction is expected and covered by our insurance.

Instructor Authority:

Our certified instructors have full authority during lessons to ensure safety and proper instruction. Students must follow all instructor directions and traffic laws. Instructors may terminate a lesson immediately if student behavior is unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive.

Weather and Road Conditions:

Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled due to severe weather conditions or unsafe road conditions at the instructor's discretion. Weather-related cancellations by the instructor can be rescheduled at no additional cost.

Liability and Insurance:

Steady Wheels Driving School carries appropriate liability insurance for our instruction vehicles and services. Students and parents/guardians acknowledge that driving instruction involves inherent risks. We are not liable for injuries or damages resulting from student negligence, failure to follow instructions, or traffic violations committed by the student.

Road Test Results:

We cannot guarantee that students will pass their road test. Test results depend on individual performance, road conditions, and examiner evaluation. No refunds are provided for failed road tests. Additional lessons may be recommended and purchased separately.

Personal Property:

Students must remove all personal belongings from vehicles after each lesson. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items left in our vehicles or on our premises.

Privacy and Confidentiality:

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Canadian privacy laws. Student progress records are maintained confidentially and shared only as required by law or with student consent.

Dispute Resolution:

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ontario courts and governed by Ontario law.

Service Modifications:

We reserve the right to modify our services, schedules, prices, and policies with reasonable notice. Significant changes will be communicated to active students via email or phone.

Termination of Services:

We reserve the right to terminate services to any student who violates these terms, behaves inappropriately, poses safety risks, or fails to make payment. Unused lesson credits may be refunded at our discretion, minus any administrative fees.
